Annette & Cristina are bringing the best of Germany & Italy to the market again this Sunday. Cristina will be bringing her handmade authentic lasagna &, gnocchi, and Annette is making her special sourdough rye and wheat bread, Vollkornbrote ( wholeseed bread), cinnamon scrolls, chia seed and sourdough crackers, sweet citrus loafs, wheat free cake and some other surprises. Gluten free options are available too.
The flowering season is about to kick off at Riverina and frost fighting will soon be on the agenda. Meantime they have a delicious range of almonds, almond butter and biscotti available this week, and a limited supply of free range eggs from their chooks.
Make sure you get your empanada fix at Pedro’s this week as he’s away next week, and it’s perfect weather for a Chilean pie!

Recipe: Riverina Almond Butter Stuffed Dates
Our nutters Nutt Ranch and Riverina both make delicious nut butters with no preservatives from their own nuts. Here’s a fun recipe to try or just enjoy their butters on toast – delicious!
These sweet morsels make the perfect end to a meal and are a great for a snack during the day. It is essential to use fresh dates — the dry ones can be a bit chewy.
12 Fresh dates
1/2 cup Riverina Almond Butter
150g Dark chocolate, roughly chopped
1/2 cup Shredded coconut, toasted
- Slice the dates down one side and carefully remove the stones. Spoon a little butter into each date. Sit on a piece of baking paper.
- Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pot of simmering water. Remove from the heat.
- Dip the dates carefully into the chocolate and roll to cover completely.
- After coating, toss half the dates in the shredded coconut.
- Place dates back on the baking paper and allow to cool completely before eating.
